If you haven't heard, I recently gave my personal website a big overhaul. Not that the previous one was bad or anything, but in the years that followed after making it, my skills kept improving, and my previous website was no longer representative of what I was capable of. Plus, I was an amateur in web coding, so it was not modular at all, making it annoying to update.
For my new one, I used RIVE to make it a modern-era Flash-inspired website. It was one of the only apps that I found that can really capture some of that magic that Flash brought to the internet, without just directly making a flash website. It's not without some drawbacks, but in general, I think it's pretty good. It is stupid simple to update now, and I am excited to take advantage of that throughout the year. Please check it out for yourself!
but if you still want to see the old website, it is also available.

Thank you for playing my game, BRAWLERS WORLD RPG (DEMO)! I can't believe it got front paged for so long, considering it has nearly no content hahaha. Seeing it next to some seriously great games (plus the long awaited FNF Update) was surreal.
I am glad you all enjoyed it, despite it having so little to do. Knowing so many people gave it a shot is incredible. Even if its development is currently very on and off, I am still working on it! I promise! I cannot wait to show everyone its much more realized vision once the time comes.
Thank you!

yes! that's right! there is a Brawlers World game demo, and its out now! the download is free on my website!
.... okay, "game" is a bit generous. its a rom-hack of SM64. My website has the patch on it, you will need to apply the patch to your own rom of SM64. It was a small experiment that I (mostly) polished to feel like a complete demo. The idea was to imagine what a Brawlers platformer could have been like if it had come out on the N64.
I have only tested it on the PJ64 emulator. Once I get my hands on a flash-cart, I will test it on an actual N64, and optimize the game accordingly so you can play it on actual hardware!!
Have fun!

So! Due to the overwhelming amount of orders, everything is a little behind. Still waiting on the full shipment of GOKART Tee's to arrive + I had a few big opportunities pop up that I couldn't pass up. One of those commissions took so much longer than expected, and I only finished it up three days ago. I was shipping on-and-off while working on this project, but my multi-tasking skills had a hard time really doing things efficiently.
I pretty much worked on this project for over 6 weeks straight, no breaks. A full 3-minute music video, storyboarded, conceptualized, modeled, and animated by me, for a large client. And of course, as soon as i finish it up..
My dad brings home COVID. Right when I was about to go full-time into shipping the remaining orders. Sigh.
It is currently day 2 of when he brought it home, and I have tested negative. Going to test again tomorrow. If i am still clean (currently have been isolated in my room, not leaving at all), then I will get a motel room and exile myself until he is not contagious anymore.
LOL. Just my luck, man. Thanks for everyone who has been patient with me.

So! If you haven't seen it already, I opened my store on July 14 for Pre-Orders.
There are 4 days left! The store will close July 24! These items will not be restocked any time soon.
Thank you to everyone who supported, whether it was by buying something, or just leaving a nice comment.
I appreciate it greatly.
The drop has gone better than I could've imagined. With my finances secure, I can finally take the time to work on my big project ... the game. FINALLY.
*of course, i will be processing and shipping all the orders before I take my leave!!!!!!
If you missed out on this drop, don't worry. There will be a few more this year that I am very excited about!
Again, thank you to everyone for sticking around!

Once I work through a few more videos, and this merch drop, I would like to make a large content update to my website.
While working on my "The Furnace" video, I can't help but feel like the lore of this place would be much more fun to discover on your own, instead of me streamlining it to the viewers. There is a lot more to tell than what I can present in a video.
So, I think in this next website update, it might be fun to include an interactive point-and-click game to explore the Furnace.
It would be pre-rendered, featuring several locations. You would have a hub featuring a small map, where you can read info about the locations; each location could then be clicked on so you could click around the full pre-rendered image to get additional info.
There would be a few key items you need to collect to open a secret room, unlocking a character that would add additional information to your main hub database.
I don't think you would have a player character on screen, instead the game would be "first-person" (the game would be just the prerendered image, and you would click around the static scene, like old school flash exploration games)
What engine should I use? So many choices! I don't have too much experience in the more complex engines, but have used most of the beginner-friendly ones.
My top picks:
Other considerations:
My other considerations are listed lower because idk if they can be directly embedded into my website (besides Unity and Godot). If i go with those, it might be better to make it into a downloadable exe file. But I think that also takes away with the old-school feel of a browser based exploration game.
Anyways!
I will figure this out soon enough, but I thought it would be fun to get this out of my system. I won't be able to work on this for awhile anyways, so I wanted to get my ideas down before I forget them.
